About Us

We're Iztatl Cocina Mexicana, and we've been a premier Mexican restaurant in Chicago, IL, since 2021. A family-owned-and-operated restaurant specializing in authentic Mexican cuisine. We serve traditional dishes including tacos, burritos, tortas, tostadas, sopes, gorditas, all-day breakfast, and much more. We started this business to bring authentic flavors and a fun place to gather to our community. We're looking forward to partnering with Chicago and the surrounding areas to continue to offer a premier Mexican restaurant experience. Great neighborhood spot! Have been coming here consistently since they have been open and gotta say they are very good with their quality and service. My go to's have been the asada and al pastor tacos, the asada burrito dinner and the birria tacos. Can't miss they do everything very well!

Love this restaurant! They pack the to-go orders so well that I can easily split mine into two meals. The food tastes authentic, seasoned perfectly, and they’re always quick with their orders. Their red salsa is a favorite—rich, smoky, and with a nice kick. I usually go for the tortas or tacos—you can’t go wrong with either!
